Who is the Holy Spirit? What role does He play in our lives? The relationship I have with the Holy Spirit has always been surface level, but when these questions were asked I was stirred to dive deeper into knowing who He is and how He moves. The Holy Spirit is our helper, courage creator, comforter, unifier, giver, teacher, renewer, advocate, and so much more! Our relationship with the Spirit of truth is crucial in our daily lives. Getting to sit, listen, and learn about being open to the Holy Spirit placed a new passion inside me; you could say that’s the Holy Spirit moving.

Living life alongside the Holy Spirit allows us to surrender more and more to Him daily. We must be open to what the Holy Spirit has for us; as well as, having a deep craving for space in which He can mold us to be witnesses for the Kingdom. Tuning in and aligning our hearts with the Spirit not only provides a stillness but an overflow of joy. My heart sings and my spirit dances in the Lord’s presence.

This past Tuesday, Stephanie [our squad mentor] shared that she had prayed for months that God would provide a tub to do baptisms. I’ll tell you what, it is extremely difficult to find a tub overseas; I never saw one until this past week. But guess what?? God provided a tub! We spent seven hours baptizing and praying over one another. Every single one of us got baptized, that was twenty-eight celebrations! These baptisms weren’t like any other, but just to surrender our all to the Holy Spirit. Stepping into this newness is a reminder to sit still and know that God is good. The Lord will never step away and the Spirit will fill your cup.

If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever – the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

John 14:15-17

The rooftop of the house where we did the baptisms. Sitting with the Lord prior and just overwhelmed by the creation around us.

Because of this, encourage the hearts of your fellow believers and support one another, just as you have already been doing.   1 Thessalonians 5:11

Preparing the water for the baptisms; all for the glory of God!

Praying for healing, hope, and surrendering everything to Christ.

Aaron was the first to take this next step and in prayer lies power.

Whoop whoop, that’s my team member! Sitting next to and praying over my sister in Christ was so sweet and I will cherish this moment forever.

As the night went on, more and more people crammed into the small bathroom to pray over one another.

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.  John 14:26-27

I ask you to pray with me over my squad as we each took this next step towards a deeper relationship with Christ. We are leaving in a week for Costa Rica and we would all appreciate prayers as we go into another country. Pray for continuous growth and daily surrendering to God. We are in awe of Jesus! Thank you all for your support and love.

with all my love,

PJ
