Hello everyone!

I am so excited to announce that I will be leaving for the World Race in January of 2021! I have found myself in a season full of surprises and unexpected adventures… and this is just the beginning of this one.

Well for those of you who do not know me, I am Paula Johnson. I am 20 years old and I am from Asheville, North Carolina. I am an outgoing, fun-loving, spontaneous, and caring friend. I have been born and raised here in Asheville and it has been such a blessing living here. I currently attend a community college in Asheville and I am working towards transferring. The mountains are my playground to say the least!

Once I graduated high school I had my mind set to attend a four-year university, but the Lord had something else in mind for me. I ended up taking a semester off between high school and college called OLD School, Outdoor Leadership and Discipleship school. This program was through Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters, a summer camp in the little town of Andrews, North Carolina. During this semester, God led me to a new understanding of who He is and who I am in Him. After I finished the wilderness program I jumped into my first college semester. During the summer of 2019, I served the Lord by working at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters. Throughout the 13 weeks I spent at camp, I was able to pour into students and share the gospel with them. These experiences filled my heart and were so encouraging!

Within the past year, I have found myself searching for “the bigger picture,” in which led me to the World Race earlier this year. God knew what I needed in a time of uncertainty and I am honored to be given this opportunity.

Here are a few of fun facts about me:

1. I am very passionate about the outdoors. (Backpacking, rock climbing, skiing, etc.)

2. I love coffee… very much!

3. My favorite book of the Bible is Ephesians.

4. One of my favorite things to do is travel.

5. I am working towards a degree in the design field and I hope to achieve my Masters in Fine Arts.

I would like to thank each of you for taking the time to read a little bit about me! Also, I want to thank each and every one of you all for your support, love, and prayers. This is just the beginning and I cannot wait to continue to share this journey.

Much love,

PJ
