There are many ways in which we can share God’s love. These ways can be big or small. The small ways are my favorite; whether that is engaging in a conversation with a stranger, giving a bigger tip to a server, or even seeking out a friend who sells produce in a local market. The past two Mondays here in Guatemala are ones that I have cherished deeply. We, as a team, have been involved in traveling with our host family to the local market to buy groceries for the week. The groceries are fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats. These foods sustain my team and me throughout the week, but it is the time spent in the market that is the most filling.  

Market stand after market stand, the stalls only leave enough room to walk through. Life in the market is radiant. It was not until this past Monday that I asked, “how does Clarita [our host's wife] know which stands to go to or not to go to?” because we walk into the deep depths of the market. Alex [our host] then shared with us that the stands we were visiting are ones that his wife's family has been buying from for generations. Their loyalty is unbelievable, it is kind. This is a perfect example of how we can share God’s love in small parts of our everyday lives. How do you express God’s love for others in small ways?

1 John 4:7-8 Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

The fullness of God is unfathomable. How He fills our deepest needs and desires. The Lord is constantly reminding and amazing me of HOW good He is. If we are pressing into who He is and searching for His love, we will be fulfilled in ways we cannot imagine. Through this we can share the love of Christ unto others, how sweet is that? How wonderful is it to show others they are loved by the Prince of peace?

1 Thessalonians 3:12 And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow with love for one another and for everyone, just as we do for you.

What a time to be alive and sharing the love of the Lord! The time we have spent here in Guatemala has been so fruitful and I cannot wait to see what else God has for our team within the next few weeks. I ask you to step into prayer with me over the communities we are reaching and the hearts God is touching. The Holy Spirit was moving way before we arrived and He is not done here in Mixco, Guatemala. Thank you for your constant love and support.
